Part two of the heavy equipment training program will consist of learning how to properly drive a Ten-Ton Dump Truck with an attached trailer with the objective of being able to pass the State of Michigan CDL Examination and obtain your Class “A” License. During this portion of the training you will learn how to do a proper Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection, Basic Maneuvers such as backing and turning the truck and trailer and Safe Driving Techniques for both city and highway driving. You will also learn the complete operation of a Skid Steer Loader and how this vehicle is used to move materials used in the Construction and Landscaping industries. You will be taught how to properly load and secure the Skid Steer Loader onto the trailer for transport. This degree of teaching stands out among heavy equipment training schools. Upon completion of this training program you will have a CDL – “A” License and the knowledge and skills you need for entry level positions for many Construction, Landscaping, Warehousing and Light Manufacturing jobs. Through our Job Placement Department we will assist you in your job search with local companies that hire for these types of jobs.
