Here are some of the more common questions people ask before they make the decision to attend our school

  1. Can I get a CDL and a Job if I have a DUI conviction?

    Yes, you can. As long as it is over five years old and you only have one DUI.

  2. Can I train with a friend or companion and get a job as a team driver?

    Yes, you can. We have many students come through our school with their friends and fully intend on becoming team drivers together. In fact as a team driver you have the opportunity to earn more money than you would as a solo driver.

  3. What if I decide I do not want to be an over the road driver?

    Not everyone who comes through our school wants to be an over the road driver. That is why we provide our potential students with a variety of different class options to suit their specific employment needs. Our school offers lifetime job placement that includes Local, Regional, and Over the Road employment opportunities.

  4. How old do I have to be before I can obtain my commercial drivers license?

    You must be at least 18 years old in the state of Michigan to hold a CDL class a license. However you must be 21 years of age to cross state lines and hold a hazardous materials endorsement. We recommend that you be at least 21 years of age however we also train for CDL Class B licenses and recommend this for anyone under the age of 21.

  5. What if I am currently employed, can I still come to school?

    Yes, you can. We offer many different programs including weekend, night classes, and specialized one-on-one training to accommodate students who are currently employed.

  6. Can I really get a job before I start school?

Yes you can. All of our students complete multiple job applications for major trucking companies. 95% of our students secure employment with a major trucking company before they even start school.
